GreenTyre Zrt.’s factory for recycling used car tires was built in 2010 in Marcali.

The design and implementation, technology for sustainable development were selected in the light of the XXI. century’s spirit of environmental awareness and environmental expectations.

GreenTyre Zrt.’s is to protect Hungary, the Hungarian natural environment, from the polluting effects of a significant part of the generated domestic used tire waste.

The applied technology implements the processing of tire waste in a closed system, enabling it to return to public use as a new product at the end of its life, as a playground, sports ground cover, metallurgical raw material and energy carrier.

In the production of our new products, we strive to avoid ingredients that are harmful to nature and health, keeping in mind sustainability and environmental awareness. Another important result of our activity is that new jobs are created in Somogy county with the operation of the company.

We process nearly 50 percent, or 35000 tons, of the total amount of waste tires generated in Hungary each year.
The processing results in 21,000 tons of SBR rubber powder, 7,000 tons of steel and 7,000 tons of textiles.

Our rubber sheets are made almost entirely of recycled materials from waste, using advanced, energy-saving technology at source – thereby reducing the carbon footprint of the rubber sheets.
